TOPIC: How to get new GPU working

How to get new GPU working 9 months 3 weeks ago #1

I had an old computer(HP DC5700) laying around and wanted to turn it into a HTPC. I installed openelec Kodi 16.1 and bought a new video card (nvida gt 710). I installed the GPU but can't get it to work only the only the VGA on the motherboard works.I tried to go into the BIOS to but no luck . Is there anyway to install Drivers or anything I can get the OS to see the new GPU . I am new to this and any information is appreciated. Thanks

This is what i read on the product description (HP DC5700) from HP's website.
NOTE: * The dc5700 supports Normal (or Non-reversed) layout ADD2 (Advanced Digital Display 2) adapter cards inserted into the SDVO (Serial Digital Video Output) connector on the system board. This connector has the physical appearance of a PCIe x16 connector; however, conventional PCIe cards are not supported in this connector.

This should answer your question.
