Hello,
i have successfully installed openelec for raspberry pi, but the analog sound is kind of low.
Is there a way to boost the sound output?
Thanks,

turn up the volume? (+ or - keys)

you can also boost the volume in the osd audio settings.

Based on my own testing, the volume boost doesn't do anything on the RasPi (same as the zoom function)

There have been a few cases, however, where the XBMC volume gets turned down (should be modified with +-, but the main way I troubleshoot this is to use the iPhone remote and check the volume level)

There are also ongoing issues with 5.1 sound and analog audio out (voices and other front sounds very low), and these are being worked on.

not if we don't know about them.

If you think you have an issue, post it to github

I have no problems playing 1080P movies with 5.1 DTS on my RPi

Irusak:

My mistake; I checked the official reports, and could not find anything related to the issue I mentioned.

Obviously, reading hundreds of forum posts is not helping the memory.
Filing it now :)

Also; How did you get 1080p with 5.1 DTS working? I'm on analog, and very curious to find the right combination of tweaks that will let the RasPi play every x264 video in the library.

I'm using HDMI video and audio with a 5.1 capable receiver so it may be different for you.

I've encountered a movie that would have small artifacts on it, but I have yet to look into it.

using analog you should put your speaker config to 2.0 and turn off the DTS and DD capable receiver options.
