New user here. Love OpenELEC so far and it's very compatible with the formats I have. I do need a bit of help.

I currently have my Pi powered by my provider's set-top box and it's on 24/7. I recently learned that the build has a SSH terminal, which is good for what I need. The only thing is that I haven't been able to find the common commands to send WoL packets to other computers on my LAN and noticed that Busybox wasn't compiled with it. So, my question is: is there a way to send WoL signals thru build r11439 and if not, how do I add a command or package to be able to do so? Or is there a way to add it to the source and rebuild? I don't think the XBMC addon for WoL is what I need. Any help is appreciated.

I'm thinking the only way to do this is going to be by installing the Advanced WOL plugin. I don't know if it has all the functionality though.

EDIT: yes it is what you are looking for. though I don't know if it will work on the pi

EDIT2: if that doesn't work then you can just use this script to send magic packets.

I do have it installed. Is there a way to get it to work on the terminal command line?

note, you can install nano via the program addons within openelec if you hate vi, just make sure to reboot after installing.

If you are wanting to send WOL packets when it boots we can setup a autostart.sh script to run a boot time, then depending on what you want to do we can work on it.
