I've got a really weird problem. I've got my Raspberry Pi connected directly to a Panasonic PX8E Plasma TV. The picture is really great, so is the sound when playing mp3's.

I'm having a problem when playing movies though. The format doesn't really seem to matter. The sound has a lot more bass in it when I play a movie instead of an mp3. My TV instantly thinks it's overpowered and the volume goes down a lot. Really really a lot!

I've tried several audio settings and downloaded the most recent Open Elec build, but I can't get a grip on the situation. I've seen a bugreport for some sound issues through the analog port, but the analog port is the only thing that actually seems to work fine in my case.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Maybe I've messed up the audio settings?
