TOPIC: rtl_fm_streamer Interface for Raspberry Pi

rtl_fm_streamer Interface for Raspberry Pi 2 years 1 month ago #1

Read this thread!: openelec.tv/forum/126-3rd-party/75537-fm-radio-receiver-for-kodi-for-the-raspberry-pi-1
I started today an Addon for Kodi which is for exclusivly for Raspberry Pi.

Its an Interface Addon to use the rtl_fm_streamer in Kodi where u can pick a frequency from a list or run the search(WIP) for stations in Band II(87.5-108Mhz)

I am releasing next time some screenshots.
if anyone wants to test this addon u will need an RTL SDR Stick and setup the software in openelec.tv/forum/126-3rd-party/75537-fm-radio-receiver-for-kodi-for-the-raspberry-pi-1 thread!

How do I select a station? Every time I pick from the list it plays for a second and goes on to the next frequency.

Sure, it's tuning to the channels and I can hear the radio. But it scans, it changes to the next frequency by itself.

I'm am currently running it on an Odroid C1 but I don't see why that would matter.

I am running the latest Milhouse builds on my Pi 1 and 2, I will try it on my Pi2.

Upgrade your OpenElec i think its the reason why it bugs. Otherwise it cannot has an error because its just showing a Bunch of Frequencies with an url "http://localhost:/FrequencyInHertz"

If you host on another System u need to change the Code (eg replace localhost or 127.0.0.1 with raspberrypi or something)

If I want to add radio station in lower FM range (60-88 MHz), is it possible? This range is used in Ukraine.
