Hi,
I am considering the move from xbmcfreak to openelec. I make extensive use of lftp and screen to download from my seedbox.

What kind of support for downloading over sftp will I find on openelec?

There is not this two programs inside oe. But it can be easily compiled. I'm using screen too.

I don't understand your question completely but openelec is accesible with eg filezilla. Use sftp://192.168.0.xx and root=login, openelec=password. Port used is 22. Importantly, enable ssh during the installation process when asked! Does this help you?

What I need to be able to do is download from my seedbox to my media centre. I've been using lftp for the last few years. A command line utility that I would leave running within 'screen'.
I noticed an addon called 'jdownloader'. Maybe that would work?
