Hi,

I had my raspberry pi working fine but yesterday I did a reboot using the XBMC ui and after that, I got alot of errors on plugins etc, and after looking in the log files i get alot of ext4-fs errors, how can i fix this?

Even when I had raspbian this happen also, but more frequently that's why I moved to openelec, it looks more stable at least.

I haven't done any overlocking etc, could this be from the power source? I'ts the original adapter of an Galaxy S3, it says 5V 1.0A. I haven't checked the voltage on the pi with a multimeter I will try that tomorrow but could it be something else?

Do I need to install a fresh copy or is this one recoverable, or will it take too much time for a linux noob like me that's its easier to just reinstall?

If you haven't overclocked the device then it may well be your power supply, so it's worth trying another supply and cable if you've got (or can borrow) them.

Overclocking corrupts the ext4 file system for me with three different brands of sd card on any R-Pi distro. I've got round this by putting the openelec storage partition on a USB drive and have not had a problem since, whereas it used to corrupt whenever it was put under load. USB thumb drive or HDD will do the job.

Thks everyone, I have tried a new class 6 card and haven't had any corruption since, let's see if it holds, if not will try another power supply and/or change the storage to a usb/hdd.
