Hi all,

I just made one splash screen for openelec :). Others are welcome to put their screen here as well, so we can make one place with splash screens.

you need to connect to openelec box via ssh or putty, and then change it. You can find step by step here:

hi zorangr, i really like your work on this, i have a suggestion, i like the brush aluminium look to the lettering you have on the last two splash-screens, how about flattening the rounded effect on the lettering as personally i think the whole 3d lettering thing is a bit old fashioned, also how about applying the same brushed look to the 4 sides of the "openelec chip", again keeping them flat (as they are now) but angled up.

i hope you don't mind me making suggestions, again great work :cheer:

zorangr, i like the first one from the last two... and i think maybe you can help us with a official splash based on this, but also on our default artwork to include in the next releases (OpenELEC-3.2). For this we need the images as PNG in 1920x1080 and 1024x768 (a normal version and one version "shrinked" from 16:9 to 4:3) also we need the full rights on this work (and any sourcefiles)

What i want is:
- using our font for "OpenELEC"
- dont use any texture in our logo (like you do above in the middle of the logo)
- the xbmc logo must contain the "powered by" text, i can see if i can provide such logo to include

I like your shadows to the logo, the little 3d effect, and the blueish background...

let me know if you have interest to do something

greetings

Stephan

I don't think this works with the stable 3.2.0 release. Are the instructions that work with 3.2.0?

Thanks.

Really? when I try to mount /flash as read/write it tells me I have to be root. How did you do that?

That's exactly what I'm doing and it still tells me I need to be root to remount the file system. Weird.
