Im running a new HTPC it has a Asus ENGT220 GPU.
And a Core i3.

But I am not 100% sure that I am displaying at the correct 24hz setting.
Most of my vids are 23,976 fps.

But while watching every now and then it seems to skip or add a frame.
Is there any way I can make sure im displaying at the correct fps?
Or set it to display correctly?

The easiest way is to check the current mode of your TV.

My TV remote has an 'info' button, I can press that and it tells me the current resolution and refresh rate. Maybe your TV has the same.

For most people 1080p24 is not possible out of the box, you need some custom Xorg config, seems kind of tricky but possible. Do a search and you will find it.

I leave my TV in default 60Hz (because 24p is too tricky for me) and then I set 'sync playback to display' and the sync method is 'dupe/drop audio packets' (works good with passthrough audio). Then I don't get any stutter or skips. Except obviously normal pulldown stutter in panning shots.

So we still need to do xorg config for 24p playback with the latest beta 2 Eden?
Can anyone confirm this?

And if we do can anyone point me in a good up to date guide?
