Hi, Ive recently updated to the Beta version of Openelec.

My Tv is a Panasonic PZ800u (UK version):: www.bigpicturebigsound.com/TH46-PZ800U_4...lat_Panel_HDTV.shtml

As far as i know the tv will reproduce 23.976 content as either 96Hz, or 48Hz, + many other modes for different things.

Openelec will auto-select as 1080P @ 50Hz..but I`m pretty sure the tv is 60Hz as it usually does 3:2 pulldown.

Is there a way of adding in a few extra video modes, then telling it to use a certain display mode based on video source ??

Or
what would be the best refresh rate be for my TV ?

Also, when i had the old install i had to make a change to the asound file, but did it through Winscp/Putty. But now i can just see the files looking over the LAN & opening them with wordpad, is there anything wrong with doing it that way?

Cheers.

XBMC can mode switching automatically as long as Xorg was able to detect modes via EDID from the TV *but* it is not activated by default. Turn on "adjust refresh rate to match video" under Settings > Video > Playback.
