Hi Guys!

Just installed on core i3 H67 mobo with onboard GPU...
OpenELEC_frodo-Generic.i386-devel-20120601123347-r11201...rodo-r15695.tar.bz2

Though under audio I get all receiver capabilities but when I play DD TrueHD file, Onkyo 609 shows Multichanel and hisss sound.

Is the right built for Intel core i3?

I have exactly the same problem.

I also tried installing ubuntu 12.04, compiling xbmc myself and updateing all drivers but got the same result.
Do the intel linux driver even support HD audio passthrough?

You are best raising the issue on the Linux AudioEngine testers - Linux only thread and attach full debug logs...

Hardware: ID41

Anyone notice on the latest ION 64 AE build that thumbnails when pretty small (confluence fanart view) have pretty bad scaling artifacts? It is hardly noticeable except on some movie posters that have multi-colored or thin lined letters and especially if it has a white background.

I assume this could be a sideeffect of the thumbnail issue/fix?

Honestly I don't really care that much, I have HD audio so happy as a clam but I noticed it right away even from 10 feet away.

I am running a Zotac ID41 with the ION x64 build with Thumbnail patches and performance when navigating is great. I use the Neon skin and thumbnails, etc don't suffer with any scaling artifacts.

Here's a Fusion x86_64 build.
At least with my system (AD10, 1GB video memory) it works. However w/o the advanced audio formats...

Only .kernel and .system!

Here is the latest ION x64 build

This build also includes my patch to fix "Sets not being displayed" when using a MySQL back-end.

@ericab and others who are doing custom builds, you will need the following patches to build the latest Frodo code from head:

a) Put libshairport ipv6 patch and libshairport metadata patch in the packages/network/libshairport/patches directory
b) Put my custom Fix SQL query for retrieving sets on MySQL patch in the packages/mediacenter/xbmc-frodo/patches directory (remember it needs to be renamed to the commit version you are building against) Fix now in Frodo head...

Enjoy! :cheer:

This sounds exactly like what was happening with my ND-22 with ION1 video, the ION1 didn't support HD audio passthrough. I would get a PCM inicator on receiver and nothing but steady static for audio.

The H67 chipset might not support passthrough. I know the Intel® HM65 Express does according to some adverts I have seen. Trying to track it down, though I have seen mention of people having passthrough issues with the H67 even on windows.

Though looking at intels site they say the H67 has some HD audio support, the only question is if passthrough is specifically supported. I have seen some posts where they say passthrough IS supported with H67...

Sounds like the XBMC is trying to do passthough but can't just like my ION1 machine (which didn't support passthrough). So either it doesn't really support passthrough of XBMC cannot take advantage yet of it (just like on AMD cards).

Only .kernel and .system!

.. the ".MD5" files are missing. That's why the update does not work for me (updating from eden beta 4).

Can you please provide a complete image for preparing an install stick?

That would be nice.

Cheers,

Chris

Sorry, no - this version already vanished from my build system.

I can give you the MD5sum from kernel and system. I don't build/use the install system.

It worked, thanks.

I renamed the files to "SYSTEM" and "KERNEL" and pasted the checksums into "old" .MD5 files. That did the trick.

Hi ix400, I did the same using notepad++ but I got an error message. Could you please post the two md5 files you created?

RogerS, here are the MD5s:

dl.dropbox.com/u/7782292/KERNEL.md5
dl.dropbox.com/u/7782292/SYSTEM.md5

Don't forget to rename the main files to only "SYSTEM" and "KERNEL".

Now updating works. Thanks.

@Susis Strolch: Has this version XVBA patches applied? When I'm trying to play HD films from my NAS the CPU usage goes sky high and I've dropped frames.

Hey guys,

I've compiled an AudioEngine build for Intel i3/i5 Sandy Bridge with following arguments:

ARCH=x86_64
Project=Intel
PVR=yes
XBMC=frodo

ALSA_SUPPORT=yes

Sources are from 06/02/2012.

Here's the link:
dl.dropbox.com/u/83041432/OpenELEC_frodo...12246-r11204.tar.bz2

Have fun.

Regards,
Jarek

Unfortunately, as @ericab mentioned in this post, the Revo R3600 is an ION1 based machine and ION1 doesn't support HD Audio... :(

Looking at this wiki, the Revo R3600 uses the Realtek HD Audio chipset. You may need to configure ALSA, etc to get audio working. I would also check on the Linux AudioEngine testers - Linux only thread to see if anyone has got HD audio working on the Revo R3600...
