Hi all,

Just installed 'OpenELEC 2.0 (Beta 4) - 1.95.4 Fusion x86_64' on a brand new 'Zotac ad04 Plus'... Work great, loved it.

just noticed that there is no sound coming out at all... Weird any clue how to configure XBMC ?

My audio setting :
- HDMI
- 5.1
- Depmultiplex ON
- AC3 ON
- DTS ON
- HDMI (Alsa)

* Using a connected HDMI ONKYO amplifier.

PS: I tested over another computer, with Win7+XBMC and it was workin like a charm... So that not my problem.

PS2 : I did not install SSH since am not a linux Geek... Just a regular guy ! :laugh:

i got an AD04... not an AD10. Is it the same problem ?


thx... but since i didnt install OpenElec with ssh... can i upload the file by my own or i must reInstall (and erase all the 300+titles again) ?

They are similar machines as I understand it, both fusion, one is e350 and one is e450. It would be a good place to start don't you think?

if you read the page you would know that you don't need to ssh, just use the SMB shares

the best i could make is having 2.0 instead of 5.1 with the setting refered to wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Config_sound_zotac_ad10.

I tryed your setting by putting my SMB complete path in the "Custom audio device"... didnt work.
I tryed your setting by putting plug:dmixer in "Custom audio device"... didnt work (since i cant put the asound.conf file in the config folder of my installed Openelec it make sense).

and yes i did reboot each time just to be sure :)

i guess i must find how to upload the asound.conf file in my OpenElec to make it work.

Why can't you put it in the configfiles SMB share? that's the easiest way to do it...
