Gents,

I am trying to do something that i think should be fairly easy, but i can't get it to work.
I would like open http streams using pvr.
IE:

I have this m3u file
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,Nederland_1
http://192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0001
#EXTINF:0,Nederland_2
http://192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0002
#EXTINF:0,Nederland_3
http://192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0003
#EXTINF:0,RTL_4
http://192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0004
#EXTINF:0,RTL_5
http://192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0005
...
...

And i want to be able to open these streams in the live-tv section, since all the http streams are live streams. This would give me the benefit of all the pvr benefits (recording, timeshift, etc).

Dumping this m3u file somewhere on the openelec box, and then just opening the file works. I can open the individual streams, and watch tv. But then it doesn't have recording abilities nor does it have timeshifting etc etc.

How to combine PVR functionality with http streams?

Thanks in advance,

Joord

You need to use VDR addon which supports HTTP unicast streams.
ultraman == vpeter
my Opera web browser addon (not for RPi): openelec-opera-browser.notlong.com
my TrueCrypt addon: truecrypt-openelec.notlong.com/
Sundtek and HDHomeRun DVB driver addons
paypal donation to support my new challenges

Thanks (again) for answering.

Obviously i didn't find anything usefull, or searched in the wrong corners.
That's why i posted another question.

The same answer: "use vdr addon" didn't help me the last time also.
I would be greatfull if you would help me slightly further than this.

Which VDR addon?
And where to find examples?

Kind regards,

Joord

Well, I can't help you much more. I tested only once few months back. After that I lost hope with VDR because of it's great documentation. NOT!

If you using tvheadend the syntax is similar like this
http://192.168.0.53:9981/stream/channelid/34 (for exp. 34 is channel number) you can check channel numbers in tvheadend web configuration

If you using VDR with streamdev plugin you can go at http://192.168.0.53:3000/channels.html
You can watch all channels from same transponder(if you have 1 tuner)

Thank you for your response.

I feel i have to be slightly more clear.
I can not change the the streams.
They will are and will remain:
192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0001
192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0002
192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0003
192.168.0.53:8080/chlist/0004
etc
This is because it's coming from a blackbox. can't change it.

i just want to be able to PVR to it. (not just put all the streams in a m3u file, and watch streams as streams.)

how to proceed?

Thanks in advance,

Joord
