I want to record in VDR a specific program which its broadcast time varies everyday.
How can I record its instances by its name and not by a default time?

Hi,

If VDR is running on a separate computer (as a server) you need :

vdr-epgsearch-plugin
vdr-admin-am

epgsearch is also included in OpenelecPVR if you're running a dedicated box.

Greetings,
Steven

Thanks Steven.
Problem is that I'm running VDR backend on my OE machine.
I guess that those plugins are missing, but I'll check anyway this evening.

Hi Kobik,

The epgsearch-plugin is included in OpenElec-PVR.

So it should be possible to enable it on your OE box.

I've got no experience with running VDR directly from Openelec.
I suppose you can install the available vdr-plugins via "addons".

Greetings,

Steven

I found the way to do it :D
Enable live VDR plugin and epgsearch and there is an option in Live VDR web interface called Searchtimers.

Nice to see you've got it running !

Didn't know the vdr-live-plugin was included in Openelec.

I'm using vdr-admin-am as a VDR web-interface, which is similar to the live-plugin.

Have fun.
