Hi guys,

I have just installed Openelec and have to say I am very impressed so far, had a few minor issues that I have managed to iron out but one small problem is getting the better of me.

When I open the Video's folder, it opens a page with my movies folder (from my NAS) and the Video Add-ons folder. Is there a way to make it go straight to my movies folder? Am I doing something wrong?

I have looked around but can't seem to find a solution anywhere.

Thank you all in advance

Matt

Well, usually there is "Movies" item in the main menu - that's where you would want to see which movies you've got and watch them from. Usually it provides few filters like 'Last added', 'Year', etc. Some skins go even further and give you more functionality.

I use Videos mostly for managing my sources and access videos that don't fall into Movies or TV Series categories. Maybe I do it wrong, not sure :)

If you add (scrape) content to the library you can enable the TV Shows and Movies functions; they are not available until you have something in each library category. Video's is a non-library and more direct view of the sources.

Hi Chewitt, thank you very much.

I did think it was a bit odd that I didn't have sub sections for movies and TV Shows etc... As 'Videos' is a very broad heading.

Now I just have to work out how to add content to the libraries :)

As you can see I'm a newbie to all this, having just moved on to XBMC from AC Ryan and WDTV.

Thanks again for your help, appreciated.
