I have a Zotac Ion, Atom based (with Nvidia) PVR box setup. I have been using OE V1.0.2 and decided to start trying the newer development releases.

I installed:
OpenELEC-ION.i386-devel-20120120185300-r9589

I used to be able to use Transmission properly on previos astable V1.0.2 release. Now with the dev release I just cannot get Transmission to work on this new release.

I have noticed that the Transmission Daemon is not executing.

the return from : ps aux | grep transmission - shows no Transmission executing.

I have looked therough the filesystem and cannot find the transmission-daemon file, nor the transmission.service script.

I have confirmed that the file: script.transmission-0.7.0.zip was installed by XBMC/OE into : /storage/.xbmc/addons/packages

And the sub-directory : /storage/.xbmc/addons/script.transmission exists with some phthon scripts etc...

I have also tried one of the Furom suggestions from a previous post to Force Refresh on the XBMC and OE add-ons repo's.

I have also ensured there is no Authentication enabled in the Transmission Config.

It seems the main challange is that OE/XBMC did not install Transmission correctly. Since I cannot find the daemon nor the service scripts for Transmission.

Can anyone point me in the righ direction to get Transmission installed properly and executing again ???
