Hi, i dunno if the Id41 hardware is strong enough for recording etc with TV headend ?
Does the software use the onboard GFx chip to assist with such things ?

Recording is all about saving data to storage (disk or USB flash) quickly. GPUs are only used for playback. There are people using PVR functions on AppleTV hardware so a current model from Zotac should be okay for the job.

Really?, I would have though on the fly encoding of some sort was going on?....,OK
Well I've just ordered a nice crucial 2.5" SSD so I should be fine with read write speeds. LOL
