I've seen hundreds of tutorials telling you how to build a Boblight compatible setup out of LEDs and controller boards, but I was wondering if anybody actually sold a factory assembled plug-and-play kit?

I'm looking to add ambient lighting to a Zotac zbox AD02 running Openelec Fusion (dev build), but I would prefer to use a store brought solution, where I got a warranty and technical support, and where I didn't have to do anything more complicated than plugging it in (I don't own a soldering iron, let alone have any experience in using one).

Yes, I know that it's supposed to be easy, but I'd prefer to look at professionally built kits before even considering making my own from components.

As far as I can see they're both still "build your own" systems.

They look nice, and I have no doubt that they will produce the effects that I want, but I'm looking for a 100% pre-built solution. Something that is a complete boxed product that you simply unpack, plug in, and go.

I don't have anything against these build your own sets, but in all honestly I do not know how to read a wiring diagram, I do not understand half of the terminology that they are using, and I don't want to blow out my fuse box because I've soldered the wrong wire into the wrong place.

If the kit kit isn't per-built, then I'm simply not confident plugging it in. I don't trust my own ability to put it together.

I think that I'll stay away from anything Russia, unless somebody here can personally vouch for the website. There are just too many scams going around for me to give my credit card details to a Russian website.

I quite like the look of the Cyborg amBX gaming light, but I have no idea if there is any software for it that will run in Openelec. It's probably not going to "just work" with Boblight.
