Hiya!
I've been trying out the Eden ION Openelec builds on my Acer Revo 3600 for a coupla weeks, and I'm wondering how everybody else is finding the nightlies?
Compared to the Eden nightlies I install on my laptop (Win 7 64 bit):
-Openelec Eden will sometimes freeze the video whilst audio continues in the back - have to manually restart XBMC. Happens with both standard AVI and HD MKV / MP4. Happens mostly at random points in a video, but sometimes immediately upon starting a video and after seeking or pausing. I would estimate this happens once every 5 videos played
-Openelec will freeze 9 out of 10 times when selecting Reboot or Shutdown from the Settings menu (regardless of skin used)
-Trakt Utilities will freeze the system whenever trying to write to the XBMC library - ie when sycing Trakt watched episodes with the XBMC library. Happens both at startup (if enabled to sync at startup) or if syncing manually. Can successfully read the library however. This issue does not seem to occur for other users in the Trakt thread on the XBMC forums.
I'm currently running the Eden nightlies off a USB drive, and all my media is connected via Samba shares from a NAS; most shares are password protected. This might have a bearing on my freezing experiences.
I would love to hear from others running a similar setup to see if this is par for the course for Eden nightlies (which is perfectly fine, considering it is beta), or is there something particularly damaged about my installation. I have already tried starting from scratch with another nightly. I run the minimum of plugins, which in my case is Youtube, Trakt utilities, and whatever other plugins come preinstalled with Eden and the reFocus Eden skin. I'm not running sabnzbd or sickbeard or anything like that.
Thanks
