Testing and Reporting

There has been many months of development and testing in the run-up to this releases, but like any major update there are a lot of changes. Unfortunately, we are unable to test every scenario on all hardware, so it’s possible you might pick up on an issue we may have missed (this is why we do beta tests). We would like anyone brave enough to test this release and report issues that they find either with OpenELEC or Kodi.

Thank You!

We would like to thank our users, team members and partners for testing, reporting and fixing issues, creating how-to documents, developing new features, and their donations of hardware and funds to the project. We appreciate your continued support, without it we would not be able to continue.

This is how I boot OpenELEC as well. I really can't continue to use OpenElec unless nfs boot works. Why was it removed?

Why has network/NFS boot support removed?
I actually used it to avoid having library and data on SD card.

The new libcec seems to hang on load (since upgrade to 8.0.3).
8.0.1 worked fine with my Samsung TV CEC.

Now it hangs when displaying "Pulse cec...", even the notification sound keep hang/repeating.

RPi3, 8.0.1 clean install upgraded to 8.0.3.

Thanks for this!

Works fine on RPi2. But it ignores my overclock? I can see that the CPU running 600 mhz. But i set it to "Turbo".

Worked fine with 7.1.

Still having issues on 8.0.3 just like 8.0.2 and 8.0.1. PVR Addons do not show up on TV tab when I select which addon to choose it gives me a blank list. If i go into the openelec official repo I can then see the pvr addons and install them except HDHomerun, the one I need, when it errors it says its installed but is disabled and when I try to enable it gives me the same error as when I installed it the error is "can't load shared library"

Please advise

Hi,
First of all, thanks for the hard work, it is greatly appreciated.
I am having issues with Openelec 8.0.3; randomly during playback, Openelec freezes and sometimes my Shuttle XS36V restarts or simply shuts down.
I did not have that problem with Openelec 8.0.2.
I attached the logs
Thanks for looking into that

Works great playing TV streams on RPi2. Good to be back on an official build after using a developer build following the 8.0.2 problems. Thanks.

Most timely update ever! Just got a 24h trial to give iptv a go and was all set to watch the Formula 1 race in Sochi only to find Kodi crashing after a few seconds. While digging through the logfiles Kodi notified me of an update. You never know so I tried and presto, problems fixed! Many thanks!! :)
