The first thing you do is download the latest stable build of OpenELEC for Raspberry Pi 1 or 2, located here.
Once it's downloaded, you'll need to uncompress the file that ends in .img.gz - This archive file contains the OpenELEC image.

Amlogic also offers SoC products (S802, S805, and S812) specifically targeting Android TV boxes and OTT set-top boxes (which are variations of similar SoCs in the M series targeting tablets).
